Each year we organise free to attend conferences across the country offering CPD seminars and exhibitions for occupational therapists and all those involved in the field of accessible environments.

About Stuart Barrow and Promoting Independence
Stuart Barrow is an occupational therapist, expert consultant to key service providers within the industry and the managing director of Promoting Independence Limited.
Having worked in the occupational therapy sector for over 20 years, initially as an occupational therapist, and latterly as an event organiser and consultant, Stuart has a unique insight into the skills and equipment occupational therapists need to excel.
Stuart’s company Promoting Independence has been running the OTAC programme of events since the first event in Reading in 2017. Stuart’s vision is to provide OTs and other professionals interested in home adaptations with up-to-date talks and the opportunity to get hands-on trying out the latest products. Acknowledged as the leading event in its field, the year-round programme visits key locations across the UK, providing thousands of delegates with a free one-day local conference and exhibition featuring specialist talks by leading figures in the home adaptations industry and access to a range of equipment.
Stuart cares passionately about caring for others, and his MA in Healthcare Law and Ethics as well as his support of the Children’s Hospital of Wales allow him to put that passion into practice.
